Why does our entry into the Church through baptism start off with vows renouncing Satan, his pomp and works? It seems this struggle with Satan must be an integral part of the human experience while we are in this mortal life.
Renouncing Satan is almost the first step in building a relationship with God. If Satan really exists, we know from the start the challenges we face. If Satan does not exist, wouldn’t that indicate that much of Christianity is based on make belief?
