A review by D. Gunner of Dog Eared Reviews

The question of how the world came about has been asked for eons. Different people with different backgrounds believe different things. Which story is true? Which side is right? Was the world created, and were humans put on earth by God? Or was there a big bang after which the creatures on earth evolved into different species? It is very confusing mostly due to the fact that different things are taught at different stages of life. As a child, you are taught about creation at Sunday school. Then you grow older and science instills a completely different completely contradictory idea on the issue.

Maurice Williams is no different. He has struggled with this question for years. Which part of his education to rely on? During his long period of introspection, he came up with many articles and essays. The essays and articles in this book form a roadmap for his thinking. They do not offer an answer or solution but they help you develop a line of thought. The help forms a basis for figuring it out.

This book is not instructional. The author merely seeks to convey his opinion and explain it. The book is well written. The articles are short making for little chewable bits between which the reader can stop and think about their own view. This book is a conversation starter. It is written in simple language. The author has done a good job of simplifying his thoughts such that they are not jumbled or distracting to the reader. It is an interesting read. It is thought-provoking. Four stars out of five for this book.
